SKALTEK Midi Pac 400 Pure is a full automatic line able to coil/pack multi-conductors cables from 3 x 1.0 mm²... 5 x 2,5 mm², with 50 or 100 m length. Continuous coiling speed for volume cable 3 × 1.5 mm² is possible up to 350 m/min (3.5 × 100 m coils). The coiling cycle is normally max. five coils per minute (if the length per coil is 50 m, the continuous line speed will be 250 m/min). Some cables may have to be run at reduced speeds, depending on size, required tension, etc. Normal production capacity for 8 hours is up to 120 km for volume cables. This is based on pay-off reel diam. 2000 mm and approx. 80% efficiency of max. theoretical capacity of the machine. The basic principle of Midi Pac is to have a fixed outside coil diameter based on optimal stacking pattern on the pallet – the pallet size determines the coil diameter. Midi Pac is designed for the following coil dimensions: – Outside diameter 390 mm (based on pallet size 800 × 1200 mm) – Inside diameter is 200 mm The coil height is varied depending on cable diameter and length, by means of a servo motor operated from the operator panel – the range is: 40 – 150 mm (Possible max 180 mm) Standard cable is from 5 to 12 mm OD. The line is 100% complete with driven payoff 2000 mm, overall strapper, plastic schrink tunnel, labelling and auto stacking on europallet with overall plastic film. Europallet is 1200 x 800 mm.
